EU4Skills digital solutions for VET students

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine, the emphasis on digital learning has become important to ensure the continuation of the educational process. Currently, 407 VET schools cannot fully offer lessons in a face-to-face mode and rely on distance learning approaches to reach their students.

EU4Skills has been supporting the digitalization of the educational process since 2019. During the COVID pandemic the programme trained more than 1.800 teachers to use digital tools in distance learning.

With the beginning of the war EU4Skills became engaged in the development of online courses and materials. The programme therefore closely worked with teachers, the methodists of regional training centers and experts from the potential employers. On the initiative of EU4Skills an IT company was engaged to digitize the learning materials. Series of online events were successfully performed for VET students and teachers. Technical support in this regard is in progress.

In August 2022 EU4Skills supported MoES to further operationalize the existing online platform, through which the online courses will be made accessible for teachers and students. The main goal was to create standards for the operation of the platform and increase its usability.
